Day 1

And we’re off!  Departed Lymington at 12.30 in great conditions.  A stiff Easterly wind to blow us past the Needles off the Isle of Wight.  The plan is to get to Studland Bay (just beside Poole) and decide if we stop overnight or keep going.  With the good Easterly and tides forecast we think it likely if all is well we keep going through the night.  Based on the weather forecast and tides we could get round Lands End very  quickly.  Easterlies for a number of days are unusual so gift horses and mouth spring to mind.  Click READ MORE to see.

Day 44 - Our journey ends.

We left Studland Bay at around 7.00am for Lymington, to catch the assisting tidal stream through Hurst Spit, the journey took a very quick 4...
